Plant-Based Whopper — Burger King
The one that started it all — Burger King’s plant-based Whopper! The fast-food giant partnered with Australia’s number one plant-based company, V2Food, to create this meatless and soy-protein-filled patty. This one is not totally a green light for vegans since it uses mayonnaise and is cooked on the same broiler as their beef patties. However, it’s still a great step by Burger King.

It’s fast food but better—that’s what Break Fast Food stands for. Aside from their range of 100% plant-based burgers, they’re also known for their crispy vegan fried chicken and breakfast fares.
Plant-Based Classic Burger – Army Navy

Kenny Rogers Roasters latest addition to their menu is this plant-based burger that’s made using Beyond Meat’s burger patties. Though the patty is 100% vegan, the rest of the ingredients like the buns, cheese, and sauces are only plant-based. You can get the burger for PHP 295.

Plant-Based Katsu Sandwich — MOS Burger
MOS Burger has two plant-based options on their menu namely the Plant-Based Katsu Sandwich and Plant-Based Katsu Protein Burger which costs PHP 209 each. While they are plant-based, they are not vegan and contain dairy products.

The Goood Burger — Shakey’s
You know it’s worth the bite when there’s an extra o in the word “good” — introducing Shakey’s The Goood Burger! It is composed of a plant-based patty, potato bun, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, white onion, pickles, vegan thousand island dressing, and ketchup. Shakey’s is also offering a healthier version of this called The Goood Goood Burger which has lettuce wraps for buns.

What does the “V” in Zark’s Vburger stand for? It’s Vegetarian! This burger uses the first locally-made plant-based Veega meat-free patty, with some cheddar cheese, garlic ranch sauce, tomatoes, lettuce, and brioche buns. You can even avail of their unlimited fries promo by adding ₱99 on top of its ₱139 price.

The Beyond Burger — Sweet Ecstasy
Looking for a 100% vegan burger? Try Sweet Ecstasy’s Beyond Burger! Its cheese, sauce, buns, and Beyond Burger patty are plant-based. They only use Daiya cheese and tofu-based Ecstasy sauce for this particular burger on their menu. It is available only at Sweet Ecstasy’s Jupiter and Greenhills branches for ₱500.

Shroom Burger — Shake Shack
Shake Shack has been a fave, especially among BGC-tizens with its mouth-watering burgers and delicious milkshakes. The Shroom Burger stands out from the rest of their menu since it is made with crisp-fried, slow-roasted Portobello mushrooms filled with melted muenster and cheddar cheese, topped with lettuce, tomato and ShackSauce served on a non-GMO potato bun. We’re all familiar with how Mushroomburger incorporates mushrooms into their patties, where 50% are mushrooms and the other 50% are meats like beef or chicken. There’s one item on their menu that uses 100% oyster mushrooms, as seen in the photo below. It comes with a slice of cheese, tomatoes, and cucumber served in between two buns.
