Avoiding animal products especially in a country like the Philippines where meat is a staple in almost every dish can be difficult and oftentimes even impossible.
Anyone who’s vegetarian, vegan, or plant-based knows the struggle of ending up with a sad-looking bowl of salad with some limp lettuce on a night out with friends. And there’s nothing worse than that when all you want is a fat juicy burger that’ll make up for the night’s bad decisions.

Fortunately, things are looking up for the veggie community and more and more establishments are making the move to be inclusive of more diets, including a plant-based one. We’ve heard of the plant-based options from Army Navy, Persia Grill, Burger King, and Shakey’s and now we’ve got a new addition to the club: The Kenny Rogers Roasters Beyond Burger.
Kenny Rogers has two new meat-free items on their menu: The Beyond Burger and Beyond Mashed Potato. Both items are made using the Beyond Meat plant-based burger patties from the Los Angeles-based company which are GMO-free and are high in protein. Both items cost PHP 295 each and are available for a limited time only in select branches in Metro Manila.
