Yes to sustainable, eco-friendly pizza boxes!
Today, we’re all about sustainable living. From metal straws to wooden utensils and reusable tumblers, many are making it a point to bring these eco-friendly products so they can save the environment. With this, let’s put the spotlight on this Laguna-based pizzeria that uses reusable woven boxes for their brick oven pizza!
Located in Pila, Laguna, The Brick Oven Cafe offers, you guessed it, brick oven pizza that’s served in “tampipi“, a special handmade box made with sun-dried pandan leaves, done by a group of locals in the mountains of Laguna. Not only are they giving a helping hand to these weavers, but they’re also saving our planet with their reusable (and eco-friendly) handwoven boxes.
As of now, they offer 4 flavors like Pepperoni, Bacon Mushroom, House Special, and Margherita. If you’ll repurchase their pizza using their woven boxes, they’ll give a special discount for you!
Not only are they known for their pizza, their crispy Lechon de Pugon Bellu and Lechon de Pugon Ulo are must-tries as well!
