Our love for this flavor just continues to blossom.

We have all come to love matcha (powdered green tea leaves) in our desserts and snacks, but did you know that Japan also has another well-loved flavor?

The sakura (cherry blossoms) flavor only comes every spring, giving our favorite snacks this mild floral taste that’s very light and lovable. Much like how the flower is in real-time, sakura-flavored desserts are often a seasonal treat and only truly bloom during the months of March to April.

We may not be in Japan right now, but you can still get a taste of sakura desserts around the Metro. Here are eight sweets and desserts that have been infused with the elegant sakura flavor.
