In the last few years, there has been an influx of milk tea shops in the Philippines opening from left to right, providing us with the usual well-loved milk tea flavors. While there’s not much to complain about (because we appreciate a good milk tea shop), there have been some pretty crazy concepts, upping the milk tea ante quite a bit.
Milk Tea Souffle Pancake – Puffy’s Souffle Pancake Cafe
A dessert shop that began at the Shilin Market in Taipei – the biggest and most popular night market in Taiwan – Puffy’s Souffle is the go-to dessert place you should head on to if you’re craving for a variety of sweet souffle pancake desserts such as their milk tea souffle pancake.

Bubble Tea Cake – NBC Baking School and Cake Decorating
Chef Jun Florendo from NBC Baking School and Cake Decorating’s Bubble Tea Cake creation first made waves last year upon being announced on various Facebook groups. This milk tea cake served in a tin can has a layer of rock salt and cheese and topped with tapioca pearls in Kuromitsu.

Carousel Creamery is a dessert parlour that features a grand display of 101 classic and whimsical flavors of premium handcrafted ice cream, made in small batches. Their HK Milk Tea Ice Cream is a fan favorite, made from dark oolong tea with condensed milk. But why stop there? Try other flavors like Garlic Nuts and Beer, Wasabi, Chocolate Chili, Blue Cheese, Red Pepper Walnut and more.

Pearl Egg Tarts – bitenmelt.ph

El Quezo has created the Earl Grey Tea burnt cheesecake flavor especially for black tea fans. It offers a subtle yet rich tea flavor that goes perfectly well with a generous serving of tapicoa pearls on top. The added chewy texture introduces a refreshing way to enjoy the viral burnt dessert.

Brown Sugar Boba Ice Cream – Tiger Sugar
Tiger Sugar’s wildly popular brown sugar milk tea now comes in popsicles, and it’s complete with pearls too! These pieces of brown sugar boba ice cream are the best dessert to indulge in to on a hot and dry day. Tiger Sugar’s Brown Sugar Boba Ice Cream is priced at ₱80 apiece.
They also launched their own Black Sugar Popcorn packs a few months back at S&R and MiMimartph stores.

Bobba Donuts were the first ones to create oozing milktea donuts around the Metro. Even our local celebrities like Arci Muñoz, Joross Gamboa, and Rodjun Cruz instantly fell in love with Bobba Donuts’ creations.
