Just in time for Halloween 🎃
Let’s face it, almost, if not all restaurants in Poblacion are bars with a food menu. Most people going to Poblacion at night come there to socialize, have a couple (or more) of drinks, and party the night away.
With the mess that is Poblacion and the number of people trying to get into bars, locals and foreigners alike, it can get overwhelming. There is a way to tackle Pob to ensure a night with money and time well spent.
So read on for the 10 Poblacion restaurants for your next bar-hopping adventure, from pre-game spots to bars for every mood, 24-hour joints for the post-hangover treatment, and more!
Pre-Game First or Get a Bite to Eat
It’s never a good idea to drink alcohol on an empty stomach, luckily for us, Tetsuo serves some of the best fried chicken in the Metro. For something less heavy try the pork and karaage buns.
If you wait long enough Tetsuo transforms into a full-fledged bar with cocktails, dim lights, and a DJ!
Serving artisanal cocktails and bar chow inspired by Filipino culture, Alamat Pub is a great place to take someone out on a first date. We recommend trying the skewers made from bibingka and sisig sausage, binagoongan pork jowls, and more!
It is worth going to Alamat just for the cocktails alone. When at Alamat definitely try the sago’t gulaman, iskramble, and the taho cocktails!
If you’re skipping a meal or have come to Pob after having eaten dinner and want to pre-game, then FUTUR:ST should be the prelude to a night of bar-hopping. In terms of price, it’s one of the more affordable bars in the area.
Dance a bit to the DJ, meet new people, or vibe quietly in a corner, then move on to the next bar!
Start the Bar Hopping!
This raging techno club serves fresh beats and drinks all night long. There is an entrance fee but it does come with a cocktail of your choice. It can get packed on a Friday but it’s still a great place to dance the night away.
Visit often and you might find yourself in the middle of a Zild concert.
From Apotheka take the stairs all the way up to the rooftop where you’ll find Ugly Duck, a place with a spacious dance floor, great ambiance, and even better food! We recommend trying the steak fried rice and the oysters all while sipping on a cold amaretto sour.
For a quieter vibe and a place to sit down, Spirits Library is your oasis in this messy (but very fun) barangay! Offering chiller music, Spirits Library makes some of the best cocktails in Metro Manila. Try the amaretto sour, gin and tonic, as well as negroni!

4963 Guerrero, Makati
After taking a rest, Kampai is just a stone’s throw away. With no line and no entrance fees you can literally just go there for the vibes. But if you’re up for a drink or two (or three and more) they have a very strong negroni and a sweet amaretto sour!
Regret Your Decisions
Lie face down on Hummus Elijah’s table while waiting for your order of beef shawrma! While waiting for your ride home you can also try the falafels, shashushka, and the hummus elijah!
Another 24-hour restaurant, Kanto Freestyle Breakfast is great for pinoy-style breakfast. We recommend trying the lucban longganisa, crispy corned beef, and spicy kanto fried rice!
If noodles are more of your style then North Park offers affordable yet delicious braised noodle banking beef. For curing that hangover, the congee might just be for you!
