Hawker Chan
Famous for championing Singaporean hawker food, Hawker Chan is visited for their legendary Soya Sauce Chicken. Starting off as one humble food stall, Hawker Chan has since expanded to numerous branches in the world.
They received their first Michelin star in 2016, and despite losing it in 2021, they have remained a celebrated food attraction for many customers. When visiting, be sure to try their Roasted Duck, Char Siew, and, of course, their Soya Sauce Chicken.
PUTIEN
You’re guaranteed to have a superb dining experience at Putien, a stunning restaurant specializing in Singapore-Fujian cuisine. Putien is a seven-time Michelin star awardee, with its Manila branch recognized as a top-notch dining destination.
When visiting, you should definitely try their selection of seafood, noodles, and dumplings. The 100-Second Stewed Yellow Croaker and the Fujian Red Mushroom Seafood Lor Mee are both winners.
Din Tai Fung
Din Tai Fung is a popular Taiwanese restaurant that gained its first Michelin star in 2009. They have received the star five times since and have expanded to locations in over 13 countries.
While they are best known for their signature xiao long bao, they also offer other Taiwanese dishes that boast of flavor. Order the Crispy Beef Strips, Fried Porkchop, and Salted Egg Yolk Prawns.
Tim Ho Wan
Originating in Hong Kong, Tim Ho Wan gained its first Michelin star in 2009 and is still loved for their delicious and pocket-friendly dim sum offerings. In fact, it’s known as the “world’s cheapest Michelin-star restaurant”.
Apart from dim sums, they are popular for their Baked Buns! Try that with Pork Spareribs Rice, Pork and Shrimp Dumpling, and Vermicelli Roll with Minced Beef!
Kam’s Roast
Kam’s Roast is a well-known restaurant in Hong Kong that specializes in roasted meats, particularly its famous roast goose. Praised for its high-quality food and traditional cooking techniques, Kam’s Roast has received its Michelin star in 2014.
