Bad Cafe – Legazpi Village
Bad Cafe is more than just another coffee shop. Located in the homier side of Makati, they aim to serve as a community space that promotes creative expression and the exchange of ideas.
What to order: their Fried Chicken and Mac & Cheese, Indonesian Espresso, and Pour Over.
The Curator – Legazpi Village
The Curator is a backdoor cafe and drinking lounge hidden inside Cyrano Wine Bar that serves handcrafted coffee all day and cocktails by night from the finest ingredients. It also serves a small day menu including pastries and sandwiches.

Cartel Deli – multiple branches
Cartel is a neighborhood cafe and delicatessen serving coffee by Yardstick, jamon by Txanton, organic produce by Holy Carabao Farm, chocolates & pastries by Belge & Co. and BonTon, bread, wine, and more!
What to order: their Vanilla Flat White, Roast Beef, and Cheese & Roasted Peppers Sandwich.
Dean & Deluca – multiple branches
From New York to Rockwell, Dean & Deluca offers freshly-baked breads and pastries, wine, rice meals, pasta, cakes, and coffee. A definite must-try is their salted egg croissant.
What to order: their Iced Matcha Latte and Yuzu Soy Glazed Salmon.
Refinery – multiple branches
Refinery is a third-wave cafe that serves all-day breakfast and brunch items, international comfort dishes, light meals and specialty coffee–but what sets it apart is that it also serves wine and cocktails.
What to order: their Orange Infused Cappuccino and Refinery Bread Pudding.
Zoo Coffee – Bel-Air
Zoo Coffee is an international zoo-themed cafe franchise from Korea. Prepare to snuggle cute stuffed toys around the cafe while you work on that thesis! They serve sandwiches, waffles, pastries, tea, and imported coffee from Korea.
What to order: their Cafe Latte and Double Berry Bingsu.
Yardstick – Legazpi Village
Yardstick is a special coffee roasting company that serves and distributes locally sourced coffee. Aside from their cold brew bottles, Yardstick is also known for their waffles that are big enough for sharing.
What to order: their Single Origin Series and Barista’s Breakfast.
Commune – Poblacion
Commune is a community cafe that specializes in locally sourced coffee topped with their famous 3D latte art. They also serve pastries and light meals. From time to time, they host events here like open mic nights and poetry nights.
What to order: their Affogato, Grilled Cheese, and drinks with 3D Latte art.
Toby’s Estate – multiple branches
Toby’s Estate is an Australian specialty coffee chain that serves third-wave coffee, made from premium coffee beans. Some of their popular desserts you should try are the Calamansi pie, and Pistachio cake, and they are also an official supplier of Bucky’s!
What to order: their Cold Brew (comes in black or white) and French Toast.
Poison Coffee & Doughnuts – Chino Roces
Poison Coffee and Doughnuts offers coffee and uniquely-flavored doughnuts like garam masala, vanilla glaze, and egg custard brulee. With acclaimed pastry Chef Miko Aspiras (of Scout’s Honor, Freezer Burn, and Le Petit Souffle) at the helm, you can expect new and exciting flavors from time to time.
