Dulo MNL – Poblacion

Dulo MNL acts as a multi-functional space; being a café by day, a bar by night, and an events place for art exhibits and live performances 24/7, Dulo MNL attracts creatives of all ages from all over Manila.

Why it’s worth a visit: You can appreciate artwork or music while sipping on their Soju and Melon ice cream cocktail.

Cartel Deli – Salcedo Village

Cartel is a neighborhood cafe and delicatessen serving coffee by Yardstick, jamon by Txanton, as well as a vast and varied selection of wine, craft beer, and handcrafted nightcaps! For both kick of caffeine and booze, Cartel Deli has a Cold Brew Negroni that’s worth the buzz.

Why it’s worth a visit: The store opens at 7 AM, so you can enjoy a cup of coffee to start your day.

Single Origin – various branches

Single Origin is the second collaboration between Carlo Lorenzana and Dodgie Vialago, the same duo behind Nikkei fame. Today, this specialty cafe has become a go-to meeting place by day, and a chill, after-work drinking spot by night.

Why it’s worth a visit: You can customize your cup of coffee by picking your extraction method and single origin blend.

Recommended drinks: their Bliss Espresso and Bacon-infused Bloody Mary.

Refinery is a third wave cafe that serves brunch meals, specialty coffee, cocktails, and wine. They also have over the top milkshakes and delicious pastries.

Why it’s worth a visit: They offer unlimited beer, sangria, moscato, and wine for less than ₱700!

Recommended drinks: their Orange Infused Cappuccino, Creme Brulee Latte, Frozen Sangria, and French Lavender Cocktail.

Dean & DeLuca – Rockwell

Dean & Deluca is a New York hailed specialty food retailer offering gourmet & artisan food, wine & gift from around the world. Available from 6 PM onwards, you can enjoy Dean & Deluca’s coffee and chocolate Tiramisu Milkshake spiked with rum as well as their Japanese malt whiskey.

Eight Coffee Bar by UCC – Rockwell

Eight Coffee is a partnership between Japanese coffee giant UCC and Rockwell group. Located at the newly launched 8 Rockwell building, Eight Coffee serves all-day breakfast as early as 7 am, Japanese-infused pasta and light dishes are available– including UCC’s new nitro coffee on tap.

Why it’s worth a visit: They have crazy coffee concoctions such as their Honey Brulee Cappuccino and Kori Kohi which consists of warm milk and cold brew ice cubes.

Recommended drinks: their Kori Kohi, Honey Brulee Cappuccino, and Cherry-Mansi cocktail.

Lime Hut – Loyola Heights

The Pop Up is a popular hangout for students around Katipunan and Lime Hut is but another great addition to the open air restaurant. Lime Hut is a Caribbean-themed restaurant that offers unique cocktails, specialty coffee, and a fun and lively atmosphere.

Why it’s worth a visit: Their coffee is 100% Arabica from Brazil and Panama.

Recommended drinks: their Sweet Latte, Katipunan Sunset, and Smoke in the Tree.

Bluesmith is a specialty kitchen and café that serves elevated all-day dining, specialty coffee, and artisan cocktails from sunrise to sundown. Their menu highlights include their Tenderloin Beef Salpicao and Dark Choco Churro Waffles.

Why it’s worth a visit: They have a wide array of waffle recipes such as Apple Crumble, Dark Choco Churro, and even Blueberry & Liquid Cheesecake you can pair with coffee or alcohol!

The Curator is a backdoor café and drinking lounge that serves handcrafted coffee all day and cocktails by night. Their Ube Milk Punch cocktail is an ube-infused cocktail as comforting as Puto Bumbong on Christmas day!

Why it’s worth a visit: They have daytime cocktails, too!

EDSA Beverage Design Studio – Mandaluyong

Also known as EDSA Beverage Design Group, EDSA BDG is a collaborative group of young and talented individuals with a common passion for creating artisanal coffee and cocktails. Located in a nondescript building along EDSA, it is a roasting and brewing lab, a co-working space, a cafe and a man cave of sort. 

Why it’s worth a visit: No savory meals here, but if you appreciate high-grade coffee then this is definitely the place for you!

Recommended drinks: their Cold Brew and their short but essential selection of cocktails.
