The Street Pub Katipunan

Pop Up is a go-to spot because of timeless stalls like The Street Pub. They have a medley of pulutans from different cuisines, like Korea’s spicy tteokbokki, bulgogi, and fish cake, as well as Filipino favorites such as lumpia, kwek-kwek, isaw, and chicken skin. Of course, it’s not pulutan if you don’t have drinks, and Street Pub has different options, including Blue Lagoon, Pink Lady, and Weng-Weng.

The Lit is a Japanese-themed bar in BGC that serves good food and great drinks. If you want something light as a pre-game snack, we recommend trying their Midori yamagoyaki, a Japanese-style omelet made with Midori farm eggs. For pulutan, they have a Japanese classic in their kaki no tane (rice crisps). Lastly, Lit has Sake, something I’m sure most anime fans have craved at least once.

The Lab

Located in Taguig, The Lab is a cafe/bar with an inviting atmosphere and must-try drinks. Their artisanal sakes are sourced directly from Japan, ensuring you get a taste of authenticity. In addition to the drinks, The Lab’s food is also exquisite, as proven by their USDA prime-grade steak that’s perfectly seasoned and cooked.

The Filling Station

Perhaps the most popular restaurant in Poblacion, The Filling Station embodies Halloween, as the diner-inspired decorations work well with costumes. We’re big fans of their chicken and waffle dish because it expresses what their flavors are about, which are robust and simple. We also recommend trying the Filling Station pizza topped with mushrooms, chorizo, salami, tuna flakes, and more.

Funki Pizzikaya

Located in Pop Up, Funki Pizzikaya is a good place to catch up with friends over good food.
