After seeing Our Awesome Planet\u2019s 2015 Round up of 10 Most Awesome New\u00a0Homegrown\u00a0Restaurants<\/a>\u00a0and 10 Most Awesome\u00a0New\u00a0Franchised\u00a0Restaurants<\/a>, we were curious and excited to see how\u00a0our data\u00a0will compare to Anton\u2019s list.<\/p>\n

Our list is ranked based on the number of times a restaurant is added to a user\u2019s \u201cFavorites\u201d list on the Booky app, we\u2019ve summed them all up from January to mid-December and here are the results.<\/p>\n

10.\u00a0Coco Ichibanya<\/a>\u00a0– Estancia Mall<\/h2>\n

CoCo Ichibanya Curry House, Japan\u2019s #1 curry house<\/strong>, was brought to Manila\u00a0by the UCC Group. Guests can\u00a0customize their plates from the amount of rice, spiciness of the curry, to the toppings and sides.<\/em><\/p>\n\n

It currently has 8 variants for you to choose from to be served in a cup or on a cone but the most popular are the honeycomb and caramel popcorn; more special flavors will be launching soon. Maisen, which means \u2018go for it\u2019, is one of Japan\u2018s finest tonkatsu<\/strong> restaurants\u00a0brought to Manila\u00a0by Suyen Corporation a.k.a. Bench group. It offers various tonkatsu sets, including its bestselling Kurobuta Tenderloin Katsu served with their signature sweet and spicy Kurobuta sauce.<\/em><\/p>\n\n

The Halal Guys is a halal<\/strong>\u00a0gyro food cart<\/strong> based in New York City,\u00a0founded in 1990. Their bright red and yellow umbrellas and flags quickly caught\u00a0the attention of\u00a0New Yorkers and tourists alike and soon\u00a0long queues became its norm. 2nd branch just opened at Bonifacio High Street.
