Having opened in 2016, Tahanan Bistro<\/a> isn\u2019t new to the restaurant scene but it\u2019s a hidden gem we\u2019ve only recently uncovered<\/span><\/strong>. <\/span>It\u2019s a casual, fine dining restaurant <\/strong>overlooking an expansive garden and a snapshot of the Manila skyline. Located on the upper floor of renowned artist, Benji Reyes\u2019s home, this family-run business was built on creativity and a love for the Philippines and its produce<\/strong>. The Reyes’, after eight years, decided to open their doors to the public.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n The 32-seater lanai lounge<\/strong> sits on a 500 sq meter property. It is intimate, relaxed and reminiscent of the serene provincial life. Tahanan Bistro <\/a>is a fine dining restaurant but it\u2019s a far cry from the hoity-toity image you\u2019re probably imagining. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n Adorned with hardwood, flora, and fauna in every direction, everything about the place whispers \u2018home\u2019<\/strong> and will put you at ease.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n The restaurant offers three different set menus that change every few months<\/strong> to keep things fresh and interesting. For the kitchen, it\u2019s a way to practice and share their culinary creativity. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n This quarter\u2019s menus are named Halcon, Iraya, and Mayon<\/strong>. While Tahanan Bistro uses distinctly Filipino names for their menu, what you’ll be served there isn’t exclusively so. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
