Despite the many small local food joints popping all around the metro, it is the opening of SM Mega Fashion Hall<\/a> early this year that brought so much excitement to the public following news of a number of international food franchises debuting there, including the much anticipated Tim Ho Wan<\/a> and Ippudo<\/a>.<\/p>\n

SM Megamall and Shangri-la Plaza Mall<\/a> will be happy to know that they are stroking their customers’ bellies the right way with their choice of restaurant tenants. Only one out of the ten restaurants on this list is not found inside a mall, can you guess which?<\/p>\n

Tim Ho Wan is Hong Kong\u2019s most celebrated dim sum restaurant. For years, it has been everyone\u2019s go-to-restaurant when visiting Hong Kong; after all it has been recognized as the cheapest One Michelin star in the world. After much anticipation, it finally opened its doors to Manila this year thanks to Ricky Dee (of Mesa Filipino Moderne<\/a> and Todd English Food Hall<\/a>) and Felix Ang (of Cats Motors).<\/p>\n

It\u2019s for<\/strong> everyone who loves good and fairly affordable dimsum and more, it\u2019s not for <\/strong>people who hate long lines. Their crowd stealer<\/strong> is definitely the Baked Bun with BBQ Pork, we also recommend<\/strong> their Wasabi Salad Prawn Dumpling and Steamed Spinach Dumpling with Shrimp. It\u2019s not for <\/b>people who don\u2019t like queuing (sometimes 2 hours long).
