After news dropped about\u00a0Zubuchon opening in Makati<\/a>, here comes more\u00a0news: a famous\u00a0Davao brand coming to Manila.<\/p>\n

Blugr\u00e9 Coffee<\/a><\/h2>\n

Founded in 1998, Blugr\u00e9 was established by husband and wife Gatchi and Larcy Gatchalian to introduce coffee culture in Davao. It is a homegrown specialty coffee shop from Davao<\/strong>\u00a0known for its generous use of durian<\/strong>, a celebrated (and pungent) fruit in the region, in its drinks and food items.\u00a0They currently have six shops in Davao and one each in General Santos, Tagum, and Marbel.<\/p>\n

Fun Fact:\u00a0<\/strong>The name \"durian\" is derived from the Malay-Indonesian languages word for duri or \"spike\".<\/pre>\n

Blugre is opening its first branch in the city of Manila, inside the Malacanang compound, on February 8th<\/span>.<\/h2>\n
This will be its 10th branch.<\/p>\n

We should all be looking out for their bestselling\u00a0Blugre\u00a0Durian Cappuccino (iced or hot)<\/strong>, Durian Dulce de Leche Cheesecake<\/strong> and their equally famous (non-durian)\u00a0Chocolate Torte with Cream Sauce.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Aside from these popular items, Bluegr\u00e9 also serves rice meals, pasta and sandwiches. You should also try the DuterTea<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Last September, Blugr\u00e9 President and CEO, Gloria Cuaresma, mentioned they’d be opening subsequent stores in Makati and BGC<\/strong>, prospectively.<\/p>\n
