Concept restaurants are quickly becoming a trend in Manila. From themed cafes, mason jars, and unique dish names, standing out from the rest of the competition is always the goal for new establishments.<\/p>\n

Who knew that even a\u00a0toilet-themed\u00a0<\/strong>restaurant would make international headlines? The concept is not entirely new since there’s already a couple of them in different countries like the US (the now defunct Magic Restroom\u00a0Cafe), Russia (Crazy Toilet Cafe), and\u00a0Taiwan (Modern Toilet).<\/p>\n

Look no further because we, apparently, have one in our shores.<\/p>\n

Boracay Toilet<\/a><\/h2>\n

Boracay Toilet is the\u00a0first toilet-themed restaurant in the Philippines, <\/strong>which\u00a0opened just last year. It was inspired by the owner’s first-hand experience at the Modern Toilet restaurant in Taipei.<\/p>\n

Interior game is very strong (and strange) in this one, prepare to enjoy your meals while you’re seated on actual toilet seats<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

Look up and you’ll be surprised that there are\u00a0customized plunger lamps<\/strong>. Exposed PVC pipes also add to the charm of the restaurant’s theme.<\/p>\n

The toilet seat wall art installation <\/strong>is also one of their more popular corners. You’ll see it all over Instagram when you search for Boracay Toilet.<\/p>\n

Boracay Toilet serves\u00a0Filipino fusion\u00a0<\/strong>dishes with quirky names.<\/p>\n

Have a taste of their bestsellers:\u00a0Kare-KaDire, Pork SHIT-Sig,\u00a0<\/strong>and the\u00a0Inihaw na Liem-POOP<\/strong>–all served from their mini toilet bowls, urinal-shaped glasses. Other unique\u00a0dishes are the Chicken Crap, Crispy Pork Binag-UU-ngan, and even the Something Piss-y.<\/p>\n
