Just in time for lent, we put together this quick guide to the plant-based dishes available in the Metro. Although we personally think that once you’ve tried these meatless alternatives, you’re sure to not even miss meat!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who knows? This might be useful all-year round! *wink*<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7-Eleven<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

There are currently two plant-based options<\/strong> from the 7-Eleven unMEAT line: the unMEAT Burger<\/strong> and Burger Steak Rice Meal<\/strong>, all made with 100% plant-based and vegan patties<\/strong> that look, taste, and feel like real meat. It contains 0 trans fat, is low in fat, and is cholesterol-free<\/strong>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Army Navy<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to Army Navy’s newest plant-based options<\/strong>, vegetarians don\u2019t need to ignore those burger + burrito cravings<\/strong> anymore. Army Navy\u2019s plant-based series includes burgers, burritos, soft tacos, and quesadillas<\/strong> so you have no reason not to indulge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brothers Burger<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Brothers Veggie Burgers has plant-based alternatives <\/strong>to your usual Brothers Burger specials with the same flavors just minus the meat!<\/strong> We have the classic Brothers Veggie Burger<\/strong>, crunchy smokey Ranchero Veggie Burger<\/strong>, and the creamy cheesy Onion Mushroom Melt<\/strong> and Bleu Veggie Burger<\/strong>. And if you want double the protein, they\u2019ve got the Double Veggie Brother Burger<\/strong> too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Burger King first came out with their 100% vegan Plant-Based Whopper<\/strong> in collaboration with V2Food in 2020, they have now added the Plant-Based X-tra Long Chicken<\/strong> in collaboration with The Vegetarian Butcher<\/strong> to their small but growing vegan menu items.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They only use Daiya cheese and tofu-based Ecstasy sauce<\/strong> for this particular burger on their menu. It is available only at Sweet Ecstasy\u2019s Jupiter and Greenhills branches for \u20b1500.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tokyo Tokyo<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Tokyo Tokyo just recently introduced two new Japanese plant-based options: Plant-Based Katus Burger and Bento. Unlike your typical chicken or pork katsu, this is entirely plant-based<\/strong> and made out of soy protein<\/strong>. The plus side is that you get to enjoy the same flavors of katsu minus the meat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
