The World Street Food Congress may be over, but it seems this international street food park is here to stay. Merkanto is not just another food park; its concept revolves around the street food-style of several countries around the world. All food stalls that are named after the countries they represent are the masterpieces of chefs Nino Laus<\/strong> and Isaac Bravo<\/strong> of Ninyo Fusion Cuisine.<\/strong>\u00a0They’re both very hands-on with the food to ensure\u00a0taste\u00a0and quality,\u00a0and also to make sure the customers get their money’s worth.<\/p>\n

Merkanto is a celebration of different cuisines and flavors around the world that are far from your usual Japanese or American fill, for they want to offer something unique and authentic to each and everyone’s taste buds. So here, you get a taste of Brazil, Morocco, Vietnam, India and Indonesia. There are more to come in the coming months such as food from Nigeria, Singapore, Peru, Spain and the rest, we’ll just have to wait and see.<\/p>\n

Blink and you just might miss it, Merkanto may be hard to find because it’s located inside the 38<\/strong> Autocare Carwash.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The process here is simple: go to\u00a0any\u00a0stall to order as many dishes as you want, each stall will then give you a chit which you will have to pay at a communal cashier. After that, you can freely watch how they cook and freshly prepare the food right in front of you. Perfect for Snapchat!<\/p>\n

Soon, they are planning to expand and will also be offering one dessert per food stall, stores for unique finds, bazaars and live performances. It won’t just be a food park anymore, but a lifestyle community where everyone is invited to relax and enjoy flavors from different cuisines.<\/p>\n

They’re open from Tuesdays to Sundays, 5:00pm to 12:00am.<\/strong><\/p>\n
