Craft beer guru\u00a0<strong>Jim Araneta<\/strong> is loving every second of it.<\/p>\n<p>Jim is the owner of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/GlobalBeerExchange\/?fref=ts\">The Global Beer Exchange<\/a>, a craft beer distribution company, and of <a href=\"https:\/\/ph.phonebooky.com\/biz\/the-bottle-shop-global-beer-exchange-fort-bonifacio\/\">The Bottle Shop<\/a>. It makes it less costly, but it takes away the goodness of the beer.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<h2>KEY MISTAKE:<\/h2>\n<p><strong>X \u2013 <em>Improper storage.<\/em><\/strong> Beers must be kept away from sunlight and heat as much as possible and kept in a cool place.<br \/>\n<strong>X <\/strong>\u2013 <em><strong>Drinking out of a bottle or can.<\/strong><\/em> You want drink your beer out of a glass, just like wine. The flavor changes as it gets exposed to air and different temperatures.<br \/>\n<strong>X \u2013 <em>Drinking it too cold.<\/em><\/strong> You don\u2019t want a warm beer, but you don\u2019t want a frozen beer either. That\u2019s why mass marketed beer is sold below zero.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<h2>WATCH OUT FOR:<\/h2>\n<p><strong>X \u2013 <em>Artificial flavoring<\/em><\/strong>. Using flavored syrups is a cheap, common way to add flavors to beer, as opposed to using real ingredients. Find out where your beer\u2019s flavor comes from.<br \/>\n<strong>X \u2013 <em>Misleading packaging.<\/em><\/strong> Your beer might be packaged to look like a craft beer but is actually full of extenders.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>JIM SAYS: <\/em><\/strong><em>You\u2019re definitely paying for value when it comes to craft beer. The price shouldn\u2019t go below P150 SRP per bottle. Hitachino White Ale or Gordon Biersch Hefeweizen).<br \/>\n\u2713 <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">For the more adventurous<\/span> \u2013 <strong>Pale ales<\/strong>\u00a0have\u00a0very well balanced flavors. (ex. Pioneer, Anderson Valley)<br \/>\n\u2713 <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">For true hopheads<\/span> \u2013 <strong>IPAs <\/strong>and beyond are strong, bitter beers best for experienced beer drinkers. (ex. Guru, Up Yours).<br \/>\n\u2713 There&#8217;s a huge selection, so\u00a0don&#8217;t be afraid to ask your\u00a0servers for advice.
