Espionage, double-agents, and a hefty serving of America’s Ass, the second installment in the Captain America series<\/strong> is the definitely worth a couple of re-watches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Proving that Keanu Reeves had action chops<\/strong> long before John Wick, Speed is a high-octane action thriller that today’s generation might have missed out on. A young Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves take on a fun and fast-paced premise: they need to survive driving a bus (full of innocent people, of course) that’s rigged to explode if it ever goes under 50\/mph<\/strong>. This one is definitely worth tracking down and watching. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Definitely one of the most underrated and under-the-radar films<\/strong> on this list, Equilibrium is unquestionably worth the watch. Set in a post-apocalyptic world where gung-fu<\/strong> exists and emotions are illegal, Christian Bale stars in this action-packed film that is as much of a thinker as it is a shooter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Let’s put the guns down for a minute and take our action into a more old school direction. A stunning, violent homage to classic martial arts flicks, Kill Bill Vol. 1 ranks among director Quentin Tarantino’s <\/strong>most popular films (which is no small feat!) and portray’s the story of Uma Thurman as a betrayed and formally betrothed assassin out of revenge<\/strong>. Expect bloodshed, sword fights, and a truly distinct and memorable style. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Our second Keanu Reeves flick on the list- and boy, is it a big one. From bullet-time to mind-bending physics<\/strong>, Matrix is a mix of equal parts heart-pumping action and brow-furrowing philosophy that has influenced countless of other films and genres and is definitely a must watch<\/strong> for any action junkie. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Nicolas Cage. John Travolta. The two of them trading faces<\/strong>. Does it get more over-the-top 90’s<\/strong> than this? It might not make a lot of sense, but it definitely makes for good action- so turn your brain off and enjoy two-and-a-half hours of fun, ridiculous, and satisfying shoot-outs, set pieces, and slow-motion sequences. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Whoever thought that a 56-year old Liam Neeson<\/strong> would be the perfect face of a new action franchise was an absolute genius<\/strong>. If you somehow haven’t seen this worldwide hit series about a family that can’t seem to not get kidnapped (sometimes it’s his daughter, sometimes it’s his wife, sometimes it’s Liam Neeson himself) and don’t buy that Liam Neeson is a bonafide action star, then all you need to do is watch this famous phone call<\/a> and be convinced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Of course we had to end the list with the current reigning king of action<\/strong> and assassinations.
