Wee Nam Kee

Book a table and get P300 off

It’s been a while since people have talked about Wee Nam Kee, but with the rising popularity of Singaporean cuisine (and salted egg yolk mania), past regular diners have been reawakened to revisit an old love.

Established in 1989 in Singapore, Wee Nam Kee arrived on our shores in 2010. Since then, the casual dining destination has consistently brought authentic Singaporean food to Filipino diners for the last eight years.

No one leaves Wee Nam Kee without trying at least one of their three kinds of Hainanese chicken— yellow, steamed, and roasted. It’s known for its extraordinary juiciness, rich flavor, and tenderness. The Hainanese yellow chicken is made from premium, corn-fed chicken regarded to be “the Wagyu of poultry”

Insider Tip: Orders of the Hainanese chicken are available in small (2pax), medium (3-4pax) and large (6-8pax) servings.

Another must-try on the menu is the Classic Laksa, a spicy noodle soup with a rich and spicy broth mixed with curry and coconut. This will surely hit the spot as the rainy season approaches.

Fun Fact: The Classic Laksa dish used to be just a seasonal product but it is now part of the regular menu.

It seems that these days, dining establishments are putting salted egg on everything. Wee Nam Kee was one of the pioneers of the trend in Manila which makes their Salted Egg Yolk Prawns not one to miss. Best enjoyed with rice!

If you’ve been to one of Singapore’s hawker centers, you’ll be familiar with Char Kway Teow. Wee Nam Kee serves the smoky “noodles” mixed with shrimp, veggies, and topped with strips of scrambled eggs.

Fun Fact: Translated literally, char kway teow means "stir-fried rice cake strips"

If you’re coming with a big group, it would be best to order the Family Platter. It’s a big plate filled with the usual favorites: Roasted and Steamed Hainanese Chicken, Century Egg, Seaweed, Barbecued Pork, and Roast Pork.

If that’s not filling enough, try the Satay Platter filled with skewered chicken and pork, too!
