And while there are lots of different cuisines from the East and the West to choose from, this authentic Vietnamese hub is one you definitely shouldn’t miss!

What Viet Asia offers diners is a taste of Vietnam without the hassle or expense of traveling outside of the country. The place is a vibrant and modern take of the noodle houses which are ubiquitous in the Southeast Asian country.

At the helm of the kitchen is Chef Hung Trang, who, upon graduating from the Professional Academy for Culinary Education (PACE) in Parañaque, made it his personal mission to raise Vietnamese food in the Philippines to the same status enjoyed by other cuisines like Korean, Japanese, Italian, and Chinese.

The origins of his passion for Vietnamese cuisine can be traced back to his childhood. Even then, he knew that the simple and satisfying taste of the food he grew up with was something worth sharing.

Complex flavors and contrasting textures are the cornerstone of Vietnamese cuisine. Thanks to its prevalent use of fresh herbs, spices, vegetables, and lean protein – it’s also widely considered to be one of the healthy cuisines around.

Healthy doesn’t mean bland – Vietnamese food certainly isn’t. Influenced by its French colonial past and the country’s bordering lands (China, Laos, Cambodia, and Thailand), Vietnamese cuisine is an exciting fusion of flavors that are simultaneously simple and robust. Take Viet Asia’s bestsellers:

Pork Bánh Mì

The bánh mì is probably one of the best things to come out of French occupation in Vietnam. Here, grilled pork tenderloin is served on hot and flaky French bread, smeared with sriracha mayo and topped with cucumber, pickled carrots and daikon, and cilantro.

Egg Roll (Cha Gio)

Viet Asia’s version is made with ground chicken, shredded carrots, wood ear mushroom and cellophane noodles, wrapped and deep fried to a crispy perfection. Best eaten with lettuce, dipped into their house fish sauce.

Spring Roll (Goi Cuon)

Another classic Vietnamese dish is the spring roll. The simple preparation of the dish highlights the freshness of the produce – shrimp, lettuce, rice vermicelli, cucumber, mint and chives are wrapped in rice paper. Enjoy it with their house peanut sauce!

Garlic Noodles with Grilled Shrimp

French influence permeates this garlicky noodle dish which is loaded with butter. A touch of cilantro and fried onion adds texture to the dish. And who can resist succulent grilled shrimp?

Phở Filet Mignon

Viet Asia’s signature dish is of course their Phở bò! The tasty beef broth and rice noodles are topped with thinly sliced beef tenderloin, onion, spring onion and cilantro.

Vietnamese Iced Coffee

The perfect way to end your meal is with a cold glass of Viet-style iced coffee. The condensed milk which is added to the dark roasted coffee gives this drink its irresistible creaminess and sweetness.
