No one will believe you if you say you’ve never heard of Vikings. They’re one of the biggest restaurant names in the country, boasting of six branches in Metro Manila and a newly opened one in Cebu. Contrary to popular belief, each branch actually has something different to offer–from interiors down to its dishes.
Take a peek inside Vikings SM Marikina and you’ll find beautiful, contemporary interiors. They even have 7 VIP rooms for both big and small groups–perfect for all your celebrations and private functions. All in all, the branch has a huge seating capacity of 565pax.
Recently, the Vikings group went all-out with their Matcha Series–and everyone went crazy. This time, they’re putting the spotlight on a much-loved local flavor: UBE. We already made an ube dessert list, but Vikings went as far using ube in both sweet and savory dishes in their latest series called #UbeHeat. Each branch has its own unique take on the series, so check out the crazy dishes that only Vikings SM Marikina showcases below!

1. Beef Pot Pie with Mashed Purple Yam
Traditional beef pot pie made with ube-infused pastry, topped with ube sauce.
2. Purple Yam Cheese Roll Maki
The perfect cross between a dessert and a Philadelphia roll–using ube-flavored Japanese rice filled with ube chunks, mango, and Philadelphia cheese topped with mango sauce and oboro.
Insider tip: Among all Vikings branches, SM Marikina has the biggest Japanese station.
3. Purple Yam Asado Pao
Ube-flavored siopao with an ube and asado filling.
4. Ube Pao
Ube-flavored siopao with plain ube filling.
5. Ube Cream Cheese Tortellini
Ube-infused pasta with a cream cheese filling, served with Aurora sauce made with cream and tomatoes.
7. Chicken Cordon Bleu with Purple Yam Brown Sauce
Traditional cordon blue served sidings of purple yam mashed potatoes and a purple yam brown sauce.
Fun Fact: If you love sweets, you have to visit this branch since they have the biggest dessert station.
7. Purple Yam Mont Blanc
Almond biscuit topped with creamy whipped purple yam.
8. Purple Yam Joconde
Sponge cake made with layers of white chocolate cream and homemade purple yam mousse, topped with fresh sliced fruit and a decorative chocolate dome.
