A new hidden bar is in town!

A few months ago, we revealed the coolest hidden bars in town. Just recently, a new hidden bar and restaurant opened that you have to discover.

Thirsty Barber – San Juan

The team behind Felipe and Sons, a barbershop and haberdashery in one, launched their first lounge concept store in BGC late last year. This time, they present something new.

Thirsty Barber

Thirsty Barber is a new neighborhood barbershop and speakeasy bar that serves bar chow, rice meals, specialty cocktails, beer, and more.

From Tuesdays to Sundays, starting 12 noon, you can get your haircut with the barbers from Felipe and Sons at the front of the store. But once 6 pm hits, walk through that door and the real party begins.

Fun fact: Their logo is a barber's pole and a beer mug combined!

Their kitchen is helmed by Chef JR Royol, the first ever winner of MasterChef Pinoy Edition. He specializes in food that is deeply rooted in his Bicolano and Igorot background. Check out just some of the different dishes you can enjoy while drinking their specialty cocktails and beer.

Thirsty Barber also serves classic cocktails, mixed drinks, local and draft beer, as well as other alcohol, which you can get as a shot or by the bottle.

Insider tip: Don't worry, if you order a bottle and can't finish it, there's a bottle keep service where you can store your unfinished bottle for a month.

They also offer special promos during some days. On Thursdays, it’s “Let’s Get Thirsty” nights where you can come in for a haircut and get your first beer for FREE! If you can’t claim the beer right away, you can claim the free beer on any other Thursday for that month, as long as you keep your barbershop receipt. On Fridays, it’s “What the Funk”, where you can buy 1 get 1 cocktail from 9-11 pm.

If you’re planning to visit on Saturdays, make sure to come early! Reservations on Saturday are only available until 9 pm.
