It’s been nearly 6 months since Solaire Resort North opened in Quezon City, and we’ve explored some of the hottest dining spots it has to offer.

From new outposts of beloved Solaire Resort North restaurants to entirely new culinary experiences, here are some of the best places to dine at Solaire Resort North!

Where to eat with your family at Solaire Resort North

Manyaman

Serving classic Filipino food with a twist, Manyaman is for families craving something familiar but with a touch of Solaire Resort North’s lavishness. We were able to try Manyaman’s Beef Adobo sa Gata as well as their Tinapa Salad.

A more personal dish, with everyone having their own version of Adobo, the Beef Adobo sa Gata was made to taste just like mom used to make but with different ingredients. The tender beef short ribs were well complimented by the creamy coconut cream sauce as well as the soy sauce and vinegar mix that we all have come to love.

Their Tinapa salad is also a must-try dish with a unique backstory where this was the last dish to be completed for the menu. This resulted in a well-thought-out salad that is uniquely Filipino not just in ingredients but also in its presentation and taste.

The tinapa offers a smokey and flavorful bite while the medley of shredded green papaya, tomatoes, red onions, pomelo, and mangoes elevates the dish to a more refreshing meal right before eating the entrees.

We also had a sneak peek at their new Merienda Cena Buffet. Offered only from Mondays to Fridays from 2 pm to 5 pm, this buffet serves classic Filipino snacks we’ve all tried at least once. With its mix of savory sweet dishes, from Turon to Pancit Luglog, let your titos and titas demolish that buffet line.

Red Lantern

If you’re looking to enjoy authentic Chinese cuisine, look no further than Red Lantern. With menu items written in Mandarin, live fish on display, and intricate tea sets, Red Lantern offers a dining experience that feels truly Chinese. Adding to the authenticity, Red Lantern hosts a tea service led by Harry Gu, the esteemed tea master and practitioner of Face Changing Chinese Opera.

The Booky Team had the pleasure of sampling the Baked Crab Meat and Deep-Fried Butter Prawns with Salted Egg Yolk. The Baked Crab Meat delighted us with its crunchy, perfectly baked breading, while the interior was soft, creamy, and bursting with flavor, becoming more irresistible with every bite.

What really caught our attention was the Deep-fried Butter Prawns, which might have been some of the freshest and largest prawns we’ve ever eaten. It’s perfectly cooked in the salted egg sauce and has a hint of spice for that extra flavor.

Red Lantern also has private rooms with a round table and the iconic Lazy Susan for big groups!

Yakumi

Yakumi is pretty much a jack-of-all-trades when it comes to dining with a dimmer ambiance and seats right up front for their Japanese sushi chef, this is another great place for an intimate family date.

However, Yakumi also has spacious private rooms for bigger groups as well as rooms centered on a teppanyaki grill where its chefs not only showcase their skills in cooking but also to entertain guests.

We had the pleasure of trying the Assorted Sushi, featuring classics like tuna, salmon, white fish, prawn, and a sweet omelette roll—all handmade by expert Japanese sushi chefs. Each piece was incredibly fresh, allowing the natural flavors of the fish to shine through.

What stood out the most, probably even among all the dishes we tried in different restaurants in Solaire Resort North was the Grilled Miso Marinated Black Cod. The butter miso puree was a balanced mix of sweet and salty while the Atlantic Cod was grilled just enough that each bite was accompanied by a smoky char.

Where to go on date night at Solaire Resort North

Finestra Italian Steakhouse

Offering a 4-course meal for as low as P2,800++, Finestra is the perfect place for a date night. It has stunning views of the Metro, intimate interiors, and an open kitchen where all the action happens.

Photo from Booky

We began our meal with the Carpaccio di Bresaola, served with Parmesan and a zesty citrus dressing. The Carpaccio had a rich, well-balanced flavor that wasn’t overly salty, making it a perfect match for the complimentary bread basket.

Next in the course is the Tagliolini al Ragu di Agnello pasta. With freshly made pasta, and Australian braised lamb that’s both tender and flavorful, this pasta is a must-try for anyone looking for that strong meaty flavor.

We also enjoyed a hefty Costata di Manzo—a 1500g USDA prime rib eye on the bone. It’s served with creamy spinach, fries, and a variety of Dijon mustards available upon request. However, honestly, enjoying the steak on its own might just be the best way to savor it.

End the dinner date on a sweet note with Finestra’s Semifreddo al Pistacchio! The Semifreddo is a mix of different textures from its creamy base to the earthy pistachio and cocoa!

We tried the Sierra and Pace e Amore, both light cocktails perfect for enjoying the live performers of the night!
