Gimbap galore
Booky‘s all-new feature lets you enjoy Buy One Get One (BOGO) promos at your favorite restaurants throughout the metro.
Inspired by “K-Town” communities in L.A, New York, and Hong Kong, Soban K-town Grill offers Korean-Mexican fusion dishes like K-Tacos and Korritos.
Unlike most Korean barbecue joints which are loyal to tradition, Soban isn’t afraid to be different. Leave it to this modern restaurant to come up with exciting fusion dishes like Korean Tapsilog, Kimchi Fries, or Korean burritos— dubbed Korritos.
Even their best-selling samgyupsal set is not what you would expect. Soban’s 6-Flavor Samgyupsal Set is the specialty of the house and it comes with 540 grams of pork belly flavored in six different marinades: original, fruity, chili bean, soy garlic, Korean miso, and wine!
Insider Tip: This specific set comes with unlimited servings of rice, salad, soup, and egg roll.
But just because they like to play around with flavors, that doesn’t mean they don’t know how to do the classics well.
One of Soban’s must-try traditional dishes is their Gimbap or Korean seaweed rice rolls.
Fun Fact: "Gim" is dried sheets of seaweed, and "bap" means rice.
Gimbap (also known as “kimbap”) are typically filled with seasoned vegetables, egg, and meat; but nowadays, anything goes! They’re a lot like Japanese sushi but are much bigger in size, as they’re meant to be eaten as a substantial and on-the-go meal.
