The words “seared” and “sous vide” don’t come up too often when salivating over where to eat, but that might be a thing of the past thanks to the newly opened Seared in Ortigas.

The exposed cement, brick walls, and industrial theme of Seared are right at home next to MC Home Depot in Ortigas. Whether for lunch or after work drinks, add Seared to your list because it’s open from 11:30AM-1:00AM.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with the lingo, sous vide is a way of preparing food in a vacuum sealed water bath. It keeps the food fresh and oh-so flavorful that it will take a second for you to get over your first bite.

Everything on Seared’s protein selection is prepared sous vide and seared before serving. The technique of using a sous vide is gaining popularity but you won’t find a menu with this wide a selection of sous vide items.

Fun Fact: Searing is a cooking technique where the food is cooked at high temperatures to form a caramelized crust.

Seared’s menu has a southern American twang that packs a protein punch with items like country fried chicken, pan-seared wagyu ribeye, and “the ultiMEAT platter”, the Godfather.  Whatever type of carnivore you are, Seared will have something that will satisfy all your cravings.

Cowabunga

Taco cups filled with wagyu beef chili, homemade bechamel cheese sauce, bell peppers, and chopped tomatoes.

Bleu Cheese Burger

Pan-seared wagyu beef patty topped with tangy bleu cheese dressing and caramelized onions.

Fun Fact: Wagyu cattle have pure blood lines. Breeders can trace back their genealogy across generations and you won't find a trace of cross-breeding.

A Chops

Sous-vide French-cut pork chop, pan seared to perfection; served with their signature gravy.

If you’re not that much of a meat eater, Seared has some slightly less carnivorous options as well.

Pink Peppercorn Salad

Mixed greens tossed in pink peppercorn lime vinaigrette, topped with crumbled bleu cheese, crushed almonds, and sliced grapes, may be served with pan-seared blackened tuna.

Seared Salmon with Lemon Butter Sauce

Pan-seared salmon fillet and fresh thyme, smothered with lemon-butter reduction. Served with homemade mashed potato and side salad.
