Just in time for lent, we put together this quick guide to the plant-based dishes available in the Metro. Although we personally think that once you’ve tried these meatless alternatives, you’re sure to not even miss meat!

There are currently two plant-based options from the 7-Eleven unMEAT line: the unMEAT Burger and Burger Steak Rice Meal, all made with 100% plant-based and vegan patties that look, taste, and feel like real meat. It contains 0 trans fat, is low in fat, and is cholesterol-free!
Thanks to Army Navy’s newest plant-based options, vegetarians don’t need to ignore those burger + burrito cravings anymore. Army Navy’s plant-based series includes burgers, burritos, soft tacos, and quesadillas so you have no reason not to indulge.
The Brothers Veggie Burgers has plant-based alternatives to your usual Brothers Burger specials with the same flavors just minus the meat! We have the classic Brothers Veggie Burger, crunchy smokey Ranchero Veggie Burger, and the creamy cheesy Onion Mushroom Melt and Bleu Veggie Burger. And if you want double the protein, they’ve got the Double Veggie Brother Burger too.
Burger King first came out with their 100% vegan Plant-Based Whopper in collaboration with V2Food in 2020, they have now added the Plant-Based X-tra Long Chicken in collaboration with The Vegetarian Butcher to their small but growing vegan menu items.

Kenny Rogers Roasters addition to their menu is their plant-based burger and burger and mash that’s made using Beyond Meat’s burger patties.
Nowadays, it’s relatively easy to get your hands on plant-based meats that look and taste the part. Persia Grill, one of the most trusted names when it comes to Persian and Mediterranean cuisine, for example, has recently partnered with Beyond Meat, to offer the very first plant-based beef kebabs in the Philippines—proving that shopping and finding the veggie versions of your favorite foods doesn’t have to be so tricky.
You know it’s worth the bite when there’s an extra o in the word “good” — introducing the Goood Taco Pizza, Goood Burger, Goood Salisbury Steak, and Goood Nuggets from Shakey’s!
Starbucks has been on a streak of releasing plant-based and vegan-friendly drinks to desserts and pastries. As of now, they have the chocolate cupcake, meatless shawarma, meatless jamaican patty, and chocolate chunk cookie.
The plant-based cupcake line at Sonja’s Cupcakes includes three flavours: a veganized version of the famed Red Velvet Vixen with Vegan Cream Cheese Icing, Chocolate, and Vanilla.
Looking for a 100% vegan burger? Try Sweet Ecstasy’s Beyond Burger! Its cheese, sauce, buns, and Beyond Burger patty are plant-based. They only use Daiya cheese and tofu-based Ecstasy sauce for this particular burger on their menu. It is available only at Sweet Ecstasy’s Jupiter and Greenhills branches for ₱500.
Tokyo Tokyo just recently introduced two new Japanese plant-based options: Plant-Based Katus Burger and Bento. Unlike your typical chicken or pork katsu, this is entirely plant-based and made out of soy protein. The plus side is that you get to enjoy the same flavors of katsu minus the meat.
