Let’s start from its origins: Pink’s Hotdogs started as a popular all-American hotdog cart in Hollywood, California in 1939. It wasn’t your average, run-of-the-mill hotdog stand just around the corner; they branched out to fries, milkshakes, and other comfort food favorites and caught the attentions of locals and celebrities alike.
Being the chain’s first international franchise outside America, the Wildflour group made sure to put its own twist into the mix. In the front dining area, you’re welcomed by neon-lit signage, the Farmacy Volkswagen van, a Walk of Fame sprawled in the middle, and sports bar accents all around.
Aside from that, they’ve got a secret. Behind the black curtains hides the Hotel Bar, their very own speakeasy.
Sectioned into two, as most of Pink’s regular patrons would know, you’ve got the Lower Bar – carpeted and full of antiques reminiscent of the ’20s Chinese hotel bars, decked out with framed photos of rock legends as an nod to the restaurant’s popular ’70s to 2000s playlist – and their Upper Bar, hiding again behind a blue door, a more intimate space with a hand-painted mural of Hollywood.
Fusing quick bites with the most unique creations the restaurant could think of (from Salted Egg Popcorn to Hotdog Burritos), they offer American comfort food at its finest: a wide variety of carefully crafted masterpieces with your favorite hotdogs, burgers, and milkshakes at the core, further venturing out to beer, wine, and cocktails.
