“Pappare” in Italian means ‘to gobble up’. In this case, it’s to gobble up an eclectic blend of classic Romanian with Manhattan’s diverse culture–from Little Italy, SOHO to Chinatown; hence MNL x Little Italy x Chinatown.
Owner, Jarina Gem Tee, is a certified sous chef by the American Culinary Federation based in Orlando. Her journey as a culinary chef, coach and consultant makes her the most interesting and must watch out for newbie chef right now. We are curious to see what tricks she have up her sleeve.
For now, it’s Pappare, her first venture alone. Pappare specializes in old-fashioned handmade noodles and pastas prepared and presented using modern techniques. Aside from their obviously star noodle dishes, other items to watch out for are their Raclette Cone (they use Royal Rebel Cheese!), Panini de Porchetta, and Limoncello cocktail!
Its focus? Fast and convenient, which is why they are placed in cool, very picture worthy, take out cones! Check out some of their bestselling flavors:
