Palm Grill may be a modern Asian restaurant specializing in chicken dishes, but it’s so much more. Going back to our country’s Southern roots with a kick of Indonesian and Malaysian inspiration, Chef Miguel Moreno’s makes his food all the more special by recalling the flavors brought to us by our trade history in the provinces Basilan and Zamboanga.

Since this restaurant is just a freeway away, there’s no need to fly to the South of the Philippines – all the flavors you’re looking for are at Tomas Morato.

With family matters at the heart of it all, Chef Miguel took inspiration from his family’s recipes at home (which is tipped off by the framed family photos hung around). Even the name of the restaurant Palm Grill is an ode to coconuts, which make an appearance in most of their dishes.

A sweet escape from the city to the islands real quick is what you’ll be getting; complete with their bright colored walls and decors, with palm leaves all around. It’s summer all year round here.

Fun fact: When Palm Grill gets their spices shipped from Zamboanga, they're delivered in sealed packs to keep the ingredients top secret.

Nothing excites the palate more than a little kick – and that’s what makes Palm Grill’s menu so special. Their source of spices comes all the way from Zamboanga. From seafood hybrids you can’t find anywhere else to dishes containing seven different spices, you’re in for a spicy, heartfelt treat.
