Nevertheless, there are countless ways you can help our healthcare workers, our daily wage earners, and the low-income families most vulnerable to the pandemic. And it’s as easy as supporting your favorite OPM artists.
We need each other now more than ever. So, while we’re on that topic, we’ve listed down OPM artists that are raising funds through their FB live concerts. If you don’t have the resources to donate, don’t worry!—as we’ve mentioned before, a simple “share” or repost on your social media can go a long way. So, let’s explore some OPM, shall we?
Bayanihan Musikahan
With national artist Ryan Cayabyab at the helm, Bayanihan Musikahan is a fundraising effort for the most vulnerable sectors in the COVID crisis; it involves two weeks of major OPM artists performing through their respective Facebook pages. P.S. It’s free!
Artists involved: Zsa Zsa Padilla, Jaya, Martin Nievera, Jed Madela, Chito Miranda, Lea Salonga, Agot Isidro, Jim Paredes, Morisette, Christian Bautista, Nyoy Volante, Mark Bautista, Ice Seguerra, Dingdong Avanzado, Juris, Karylle, Yael, and Sitti. (Note: Some of these artists’ FB live performance dates are yet to be announced).
Ryan Cayabyab
National Artist for Music Ryan Cayabyab launched the Bayanihan Musikahan free concert series via Facebook Live to strengthen solidarity among Filipinos amid the COVID-19 pandemic. In his own Facebook live, he performed his legendary compositions from “Tuwing Umuulan” to “Araw Gabi.”

Puhon: Ben&Ben
Ben&Ben is performing some of their most popular hits for their fans through an FB livestream. The 9-piece collective is also launching puhon.ph, a website that aims to inspire through stories and art despite the pandemic.
