Oyasumi Ramen – San Juan
Oyasumi Ramen serves Yokohama Iekei Ramen. “Iekei”, which literally means house, is a Yokohama-hailed ramen variant characterized by its thick, greasy, pork-flavored, some say creamy, broth. The noodles are thick and made fresh daily. Here’s an off-menu tip: If you still got leftover soup, ask their server to turn it into cheesy risotto.

7 Flavors is an artisan bakery, a gourmet cafe and a world fusion buffet by Chef Boy Logro. The restaurant’s name refers to (1) 7 taste attributes–sweet, salty, sour, bitter, umami, spicy and astringent, which are also incorporated in the dishes and (2) 7 different world cuisines buffet for each day of the week.

Balay Dako – Tagaytay
Balay Dako offers traditional and flavorful Filipino dishes with the signature touch of Chef Tony Boy Escalante. ‘Balay Dako’, which is Negrense for big house, is set in a 3-storey house in Tagaytay where each floor will feature a specific section of the restaurant–Terrazas, a semi-open bar on the top floor; Comedor, the main dining area on the 2nd floor; and Silong, the private event area of the restaurant on the ground. The second floor dining area is the only one open for now.

Route 88 Bike Cafe – Anonas
Route 88 is a bicycle-themed café right beside LBS Glorious Ride Bike Shop, also of the same owners. Milkcow PH – Power Plant Mall
Milkcow is a dessert cafe serving ‘the best soft serve ice cream’. This popular Korean brand only opened late 2013 but have grown so much following because of their organic ice creams and honeycomb.
Applebee’s – The Fort / Eastwood
Applebee’s is a casual diner, a grill and a bar serving big-plated American favorites including ribs, burgers, steaks and more. Expect to be served dishes similar to Friday’s or Chili’s. The first branch is set to open in BGC this July. Read our feature here.
