Mijo Comfort Food menu: Must-try dishes

Smoked Duck Salad (P550)

Start off this memorable experience at Mijo Comfort Food with its Smoked Duck Salad. The smoked duck pairs well with the citrusy orange, while the fried noodle bits and greens offer a perfect crunch for those who want a bit of bite.

Order the Smoke Duck Salad to start especially when you’re coming in with a bit of an empty stomach!

Spicy Salmon Tacos (P450)

For something a bit heavier order the Spicy Salmon Tacos. Using fresh salmon sashimi, Mijo Comfort Food has made the traditional taco into a type of sushi, adding rice beneath the salmon.

Don’t forget to sprinkle a bit of calamansi on each taco for the acidity!

Sisig Tacos (P375)

A very common fusion dish, Sisig Tacos is pretty common when dining at Pinoy-Mexican restaurants. Served on a soft shell taco this is your standard sisig with dots of mayo (picky Pampagenos, beware), with an option of adding calamansi. Consider this your small taste of what’s to come.

Mushroom Paella (P950)

Perfect for sharing the Mushroom Paella offers you a filling side of carbs without being too heavy, leaving you room for more goodies later. The rice is perfectly cooked giving us that tangy acidic taste from the calamansi but also that crunch coming from the heat underneath.

Truffle Jamon (P520)

Another choice for sharing would be the Truffle Jamon. This dish probably stood out the most as the truffle oil could be smelled throughout the table. Sprinkled with parmesan cheese and crispy parma ham this pasta dish is perfect for those that like their food to be a little bit on the salty side.

Pork Tomahawk (P1,350)

For the choice of protein the Pork Tomahawk is the more eye-catching option. Visually, it’s the most beautiful thing you can order on Mijo Comfort Food’s menu with its striking kamote puree, burnt cabbage, and fried sage. Taste-wise this is probably the softest and juiciest slab of pork your teeth will ever have the pleasure of chewing on.

Ribeye (P2,950)

Ribeye. What else can we say? It’s juicy, well-seasoned, and cooked perfectly. It’s a bit on the pricier side of the menu items in Mijo but with Booky you can now get the Ribeye at a 50% discount; only P1,475.

Grapefruit Sour (P420)

Similar to our favorite amaretto sour, Mijo’s Grapefruit Sour drinks is pretty sweet and smooth. There’s very little bitter taste as a result of the alcohol but watch your legs, this drink can be deceptive.

Mija (P420)

Try a local type of rum when you get Mija. A combination of mango-infused rum and lime, Mija is a straightforward drink that’s tasty and will get you just a little bit tipsy.

Rosa (P420)

A combination of tequila, agave, and grapefruit, the Rosa is definitely an upper that you need for the boost of confidence (and rizz). It has a little kick when you take a nibble off the side where they have a sprinkle of labuyo.
