Martin Place Social is a contemporary Australian restaurant that doubles as a whiskey-sake bar. Named after the busy Martin Place in Sydney, this modern restaurant takes some familiar eats and gives them an Aussie flare.

Inside the restaurant, there’s no shortage of leather clad furniture and greenery. It makes for a very modern, sleek, speakeasy vibe that can go from day to night seamlessly.
Based out of Australia, this is their first branch in Manila. The building itself, located in McKinley Parkway, serves a double purpose. The first floor is the main restaurant and kitchen while the second floor serves as the main office and school for training the chefs, staff, and personnel.
In fact, Martin Place Social’s double purposing doesn’t stop there. During the day, they’ll greet you as a cafe and slowly turn into a pub as the sun goes down. So the food goes spot on with the coffee or cocktail that you’ll inevitably order.

Many of the ingredients, most notably the steaks, are flown in directly from Australia. On the flip side, the trainees that study in the school on the second floor of the restaurant are also sent to Australia for further training. Nothing like that good, Ozzy hospitality.

Mondays are Steak Night so get your hands on 1824 MSA Australian Rump Steak (250g) served with chips and coleslaw for P550; get pizza and beer on Tuesdays; Two for one handmade chicken schnitzel with any topping on Wednesdays, and on Thursdays, it’s Aussie MSA Rump Medallion with creamy prawns.
