Kko Kko – multiple branches

Kko Kko is a modern Korean chicken house owned by Grace Lee. The restaurant features her own contemporary recipes, as well as traditional recipes that have been passed down to her from her mom. Her goal for this restaurant is to bring together her birthplace and hometown to Manila through food. Here, we put the spotlight on their Sapphire Bloc branch.

Unlike other Korean restaurants, Kko Kko keeps it authentic by using ingredients sourced from Korea. Their menu is divided into three main categories – Korean Fried Chicken, Korean Street Food, and Dosirak (Korean Lunchbox) – each narrating a story about the dining setting and customs of Korea.

Here’s a rundown of some of their specialties for when you visit Kko Kko soon.

Dosirak

Korea’s lunchbox-eating tradition in the 70’s and 80’s; equivalent to the Japanese bento and Philippines’ baon.
