Kenshin Japanese Restaurant

Kenshin is one of the newest hole in the wall restaurants in Makati that specializes in traditional dishes like fresh sashimi, sushi rolls, set meals, and a unique DIY takoyaki experience.

Kenshin pertains to the X-shaped scar inflicted by the samurai sword. It’s also loosely translated from the Japanese characters 謙 (ken) meaning “humble, modest” and 信 (shin) meaning “trust, believe.” They only opened this year and has already gained a steady following among residents in the area and the late night Makati crowd (they close at 3 am). Kenshin is also best known for their make your own takoyaki set that lets customers mix and cook their own fluffy takoyaki balls on their tables.
