We can all agree that the best part of food is eating it, but what’s the next best thing? Sharing it.

Whenever we come across a video that talks about hunger or malnourished children, the same thought runs through everyone’s minds: I want to help. Unfortunately, the want to help doesn’t often translate to actually doing something.

Project Food for Thought

Our friends over at the Giving Hope Foundation have an ongoing program called Project Food for Thought, which is a daily feeding program for the public school children of Pineda Elementary School. The program feeds full rice meals to 300 kids every single day.

To support Project Food For Thought, the Giving Hope Foundation organized a yummy fundraiser called the KAPITOLYO FOOD TRIP and it’s now on it’s fourth year! From 2-6pm on October 27, join the Giving Hope Foundation as they trek through the food-filled streets of Kapitolyo and have a quick bite from the participating establishments (known as Bite Stops).

project-food-kapitolyo

If you haven’t joined yet, participants get to sample signature dish bites from over 17 partner Bite Stops. For a P500 ticket, you can join in on this trip that’s food for the soul and stomach. All the proceeds from the food trip will go right into Project Food for Thought and help ensure that the kids get fed another day, week, month, and beyond.

Extra perks: Get 20% off Zenutrients, 1 hour free pass at Co.Lab, and free Locally Juice!

For tickets, you could email Barb of Co.Lab at barb@colab.ph or approach her at Co.Lab’s front desk. For more updates, you could also check out the Kapitolyo Food Trip event page.

Potato Corner

Potato Corner is something we all grew up with. Mixing and matching those classic cheese, barbecue, and sour cream fries was pure joy. As kids, it was the go-to after school snack that you never got bored of. As “adults”, not much has changed.
