Foggy Mountain Cookhouse – Baguio
Foggy Mountain Cookhouse is a hidden gem, nestled along the residential area of San Carlos Heights. Chef Babes Reyes decided to open up his own home and his front porch and create Foggy Mountain Cookhouse, after his retirement from his exporting business.
He provides a private dining experience to his diners, where he will personally cook and prepare Mediterranean-inspired dishes from his own personal recipes. He has gained his knowledge and knack for taste from his previous works and travels abroad.
The location is beautiful with a magnificent view to boot, and provides that rustic and serene ambiance that will make you feel at home. You can opt to dine on his front porch to enjoy the view or in his formal dining area inside the house.
It is best to go here around at around 5pm to catch the Cordilleran sunset and to see the beautiful medley of the clouds and fog in the sky – perfect for this chilly, holiday season.
It’s for families and for couples who want to unwind away from the city and try an intimate and personal dining experience with good food and a spectacular view, without having to spend much.
Since Chef Babes can only accommodate up to 20 guests per time slot, this restaurant is strictly by reservations only. You must reserve at least 1 day ahead and pre-order dishes as they are all prepared from scratch. Some even need a day’s worth of seasoning. Although they have a limited menu, Chef Babes assures his customers that everything has been perfected and tastes good.
Main dishes are served with single serving of Full Course Inclusion (FCI) – appetizer or salad, Moroccan rice and dessert. Sharing is highly encouraged as servings are huge; additional FCI is at P200 per person.
