Why California?
Since the Filipino community is growing in California, especially in the Bay Area and Los Angeles, there are A LOT of Filipino restaurants there that are reinventing our cuisine, while still staying true to their roots.
This isn’t even all of them because there’s just too many, so we tried our best to filter this list and show you some of the must-try Filipino restaurants around California. Heck, we hope some of these open here in Manila too!
Señor Sisig
Señor Sisig is a Filipino fusion food truck that redefines sisig and incorporates new techniques to create Fil-Mex dishes like sisig tacos, California sisig burritos, sisig salad, and more. Both owners are Filipino who met in Daly City and decided to team up and start this booming business.

Bahay Kainan/BaBoys
Bahay Kainan is a Filipino food caterer/restaurant and a family business in Carson. Chef Guilbert Ferido, who is also the son of the owners of the restaurant, decided to create a spin-off of Bahay Kainan, called ‘Baboy’ – serving dishes that uses pork as its main ingredient. They have dishes like kare-kare tater tots, lumpia burger, and even tocilog fries!

Another food truck that specializes in Fil-Mex fusion dishes, the idea to put up this business came from a group of friends who noticed the lack of good Filipino eats in Los Angeles. After nearly a year of conceptualizing and experimenting in the kitchen, White Rabbit Truck was born, serving dishes like chicken adobo and beefsteak burritos, and ube champorado!

Oi Asian Fusion takes on Filipino-style rice bowls. It’s a casual restaurant that serves dishes like tapsilog, fried chicken adobo, chicken longanisa, and more. You can get some of Creme Caramel’s products here like their ube custard pops.
Rice Bar
Rice Bar is a small Filipino restaurant in LA that uses heirloom rice and Filipino recipes. Chef Charles Olalia is currently doing different kinds of adobo dishes every week for the rest of the year. He made adobo dishes like salmon adobo, pork chicken adobo, pancit chicken adobo, and more!
