Moon prism power!
We’ve all encountered treats that are almost too cute to eat (almost; we ended up eating them anyway) – Kumori Cafe‘s pastries and Classic Confections‘ sugar cookies come to mind. But have you ever imagined something as extra as a Sailor Moon-themed menu? For dim sum, nonetheless! This dim sum eatery in Hong Kong dares to celebrate the pioneer of reveals, costume changes, and just plain being extra in dim sum form.
Dim Sum Icon – Tsim Sha Tsui
Dim Sum Icon is a trendy Hong Kong eatery along Nathan Rd., Tsim Sha Tsui known for its quick Chinese comfort food, healthy ingredients, and pop icon collaborations. The modern Chinese tea house has also featured collabs with SpongeBob Squarepants, Garfield, emojis, Gudetama, and more.
Their latest collaboration features a new menu inspired by Sailor Moon and all her Sailor Soldiers. Offering deep-fried spring rolls, steamed buns and dumplings, noodles, siomai, shaved iced drinks, and egg tarts, rice balls, or iced lollipops for desserts, every item stars a character from the anime.
Their rainbow-colored dumplings aren’t random, they represent each of the Sailor Soldiers. It doesn’t stop there! The steamed buns star Luna and Artemis, the magic talking cats! Aside from the food, they’ve also got bonus merchandise like hand fans and coasters!
The Sailor Moon menu is available now until October 12. Watch out for their next collaboration, which might be another nostalgic favorite of yours.
