Breakfast lovers rejoice!
2016 is already such an interesting year for the food community. Local publications and online editorials have released a number of lists confirming news of several international brands from all over the world opening in Manila this year.
One franchise news of bigger magnitude is a 60-year old, classic family diner and fast food giant, Denny’s. It is set to open its doors at the new Uptown Parade in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig, all thanks to the Bistro Group.
Before it finally opens, here’s everything you need to know:
Denny’s started as a 24/7 donut stand in 1953, previously named Danny’s, in Lakewood, California. Over the years, Denny’s have always lived by one of its original founders, Harold Butler’s, promise: ‘to serve the best cup of coffee, make the best donuts, give the best service, offer the best value, and stay open 24 hours a day.”
In 2013, the company celebrated its 60th anniversary with over 1,700 branches worldwide.
Denny’s is “America’s Diner” and is best known for its collection of signature breakfast meals.
The Grand Slams feature hefty breakfast plates that involves eggs, waffles, regular toasts, french toasts, sausages, muffins, bacon, hash, grits, oatmeal and yogurt. If you’re feeling creative, “Build Your Own Grand Slam” lets you choose any four items to fill your plate. Kids also get to join in on the fun as they have their own special Jr. Grand Slam and Jr. French Toast platters.
The $2 $4 $6 $8 menu offers smaller breakfast value meals including $2 french toasts, $4 cookies & cream mega sundae and $4 all-you-can-eat pancake.
Huge omelettes and skillets are also part of its breakfast offerings.
Aside from breakfast items, Denny’s also serves burgers (which also include a build your own burger), sandwiches, salads, FitFare meals for the health-conscious, a kids’ menu and even a 55+ menu.
