Strategically located in Ortigas, one of the main business districts in Metro Manila, Marco Polo Ortigas is a 5-star hotel with 316 well-designed rooms and suites, two Continental Club floors, spa, fitness centre, swimming pool and four luxurious dining destinations.
Cucina – Marco Polo Ortigas
One of these four is Cucina, an all-day dining restaurant located on the 24th floor Sky Lobby known for its exquisite buffet and a la carte menu of continental and Asian dishes.
Cucina (coo-chee-na) is Italian for 'kitchen' and it also refers to a manner or style of cooking.
The design of the interiors is minimalist and comfortable. The key elements injected by national Filipino artist, Jinggoy Buensuceso, are wood, glass and earth tones.
Cucina features several live action stations with open kitchens that feature worldly cuisines. While most buffet restaurants are big on the quantity, Cucina focuses on quality. The chefs are very hands-on and keen on always bringing out something new and unique to the table.
Fun Fact: Every month or season, they have a theme wherein they set up an individual station to highlight a particular country's cuisine or set of dishes. Last August until September 4, their theme was 'All Things Swiss: Food Festival 2016'.
