Zubuchon

Zubuchon is a combination of Zubu (old name of Cebu in Spanish/Portuguese maps) and chon (for lechon, of course!). This homegrown lechon franchise prides itself  in feeding only the best organic feeds to its pigs, hence giving their lechon that extra value. All of Zubuchon’s lechon are free from additives and MSG.

Fun fact: This is THE lechon that gave Anthony Bourdain a run for his money when he visited Cebu back in 2008. Bourdain proclaimed that lechon was "the best pig ever" after his first bite.

Carcar Town Market

Carcar may just be the most underrated spot in this list. It’s a famous stopover for tourists who want to experience the real thing: lechon galore that’s not inside a mall or a hotel. But what really makes everyone come back is the famous signature salty drippings collected from the roasting process.

Booky Tip: If you’re not familiar with Cebu or you don’t have any friends in the area, we highly recommend that you book a Carcar town tour since its a bit far from the popular city center of the province.
