Born from the mastermind of Chef Chele Gonzalez along with his wife Teri Gonzalez, Burnt Basque Cheesecake rebranded from its former name, Chef Chele’s Kitchen. With this name change, they’re introducing the new cheesecake era, one that spotlights the outstanding Tarta de Queso.
Before Tarta de Queso, Chef Chele’s star was the Burnt Basque Cheesecake. It’s thicker in terms of consistency, with a burnt top to give caramel notes to each bite. Come Tarta de Queso, which Chef Chele described as the new trend of cheesecake that’s popular in Spain.
What’s special about the Tarta de Queso is its gooey center that oozes with every slice. The consistency is thinner and smoother, and taste-wise, the mix of cheeses give a unique flavor profile that will have you coming back for more.
Apart from the Burnt Basque Cheesecake and Tarta de Queso, the shop also offers other stunning cheesecake flavors and varieties!
We tried the Forest Berries which had fresh slices of blueberries and strawberries that balances the richness of the traditional cheesecake.
And for something on the more indulgent side, we tried the Salted Caramel and Macadamia. It hit the right spot, especially with the luscious caramel and macadamia nuts on top, without being overly sweet!
