Shut up and take my friend’s money.

Concept restaurants are quickly becoming a trend in Manila. From themed cafes, mason jars, and unique dish names, standing out from the rest of the competition is always the goal for new establishments.

Who knew that even a toilet-themed restaurant would make international headlines? The concept is not entirely new since there’s already a couple of them in different countries like the US (the now defunct Magic Restroom Cafe), Russia (Crazy Toilet Cafe), and Taiwan (Modern Toilet).

Look no further because we, apparently, have one in our shores.

Boracay Toilet

Boracay Toilet is the first toilet-themed restaurant in the Philippines, which opened just last year. It was inspired by the owner’s first-hand experience at the Modern Toilet restaurant in Taipei.

Interior game is very strong (and strange) in this one, prepare to enjoy your meals while you’re seated on actual toilet seats!

Look up and you’ll be surprised that there are customized plunger lamps. Exposed PVC pipes also add to the charm of the restaurant’s theme.

The toilet seat wall art installation is also one of their more popular corners. You’ll see it all over Instagram when you search for Boracay Toilet.

Boracay Toilet serves Filipino fusion dishes with quirky names.

Have a taste of their bestsellers: Kare-KaDire, Pork SHIT-Sig, and the Inihaw na Liem-POOP–all served from their mini toilet bowls, urinal-shaped glasses. Other unique dishes are the Chicken Crap, Crispy Pork Binag-UU-ngan, and even the Something Piss-y.

Aside from their toilet bowl plates, your drinks are served in urinal-shaped glasses.

Of course, every Boracay trip wouldn’t be complete without souvenir photos. Boracay Toilet has a dedicated photo booth spots where you can take your next Snaps and Instagram posts.
