Before they became the modern diner we’ve come to know and love, BeefX was known as Big B Burgers. Started as a fun project by friends in 2013, the university burger joint gained a following thanks to their unique hybrid burger execution, the 50:50 burger.

From their humble first branch along Magiting Street in UP Teachers Village, BeefX has now made its home in UP Town Center— still faithfully serving the same market of university students five years on.

The burger gets its name from the patties which are a blend of 50% beef and 50% something else— either bacon, longganisa, spam, sisig, or sausage. BeefX burgers are always fresh, made-to-order in quarter, half, or full pound patties.

Insider Tip: Can't decide which combo to order? Stack 'em! BeefX lets you stack any combination of 50:50 patties as high as you'd like.

Fun Fact: Before their first store, founders Joelle Yuvienco and Erik Galvez delivered burgers to dormitories and org events in school.

Recovering from a long night? Give your burger the “Hangovurger Upgrade” —  a 1/3 pound 50:50 patty of your choice is served between deep-fried waffle buns, accompanied by a cheese omelette and a drizzle of pancake syrup!

Not crazy enough for you? BeefX marries two all-time favorites with the introduction of Pizza Buns! They take two mozzarella and pepperoni-topped buns, and pair it with their patties to make a burger like no other.

BeefX is always pushing boundaries. The Beefx Sisig Burger is a flavorful tribute to a classic Pinoy favorite served with lettuce and onions, a fried egg and drizzled with special sisig sauce.

Insider Tip: In case you didn't know, ALL burgers can be upgraded with the addition of a fried egg or XXXTRA cheese.

Of course, a burger meal is not complete without a side of fries. Order the Saktong Fries if you want to keep things simple and classic with just a sprinkle of salt. Love fusion? The Takawyaki is mixed with crab sticks and drizzled with takoyaki sauce and Japanese mayonnaise.

Last but certainly not the least is the crassly named Poutine ng Ina. The generous serving of gravy and melty mozzarella over crispy fries makes up for its tactless title.

If you’re more of a rice person, you’ll be pleased to find out all BeefX burgers can be enjoyed as a rice meal! The Big B_tlog is their take on burger steak and comes with heart shaped rice and fried egg drowned in their signature gravy.

Insider tip: Ask for more of their homemade Awesomesauce that comes in a large syringe. We can’t get enough of it! Wish we knew what it was made of but to this day, the ingredients remain top secret.

Beef X’s famous dessert made with waffles, ice cream, and s’mores is aptly named “First Love” because either you’ll never get over it or you’ll never have enough of it!

Aside from their food, ‘hugot’-filled wall posters and condiments bottles amuse students so much that they’ve become two of the most photographed items in their store, when you search for Beef X online.
