Michiko Unso, the owner and chef of Alek Cafe, studied culinary arts. Her father is an Asian cusine cook and her mom used to own a chain of bakeries; Michiko’s grandmother was a caterer in the States while her aunt was a cookbook writer and culinary arts teacher in Canada. To it’s core, Alek Cafe is a restaurant born to a family with a lot of love (and experience) for food.
