Minandal is a late night hole-in-the-wall (literally) serving American comfort food – burgers, hotdogs, pasta and fries. You’re lucky if you can snag one of the limited tables and seats; otherwise, you’re better off just buying to take out. The place can also be a bit cramped and hot when it’s full. Here’s a fun trivia: Minandal is actually a Tagalog term for ‘meryenda’ or light snack.

This is probably one of Mandaluyong’s well-kept secrets. Chekwa is not a Chinese restaurant as its signage might suggest, but is home to the most popular T-bone steaks in town. Just between us, don’t a expect a comfortable dining experience here.
