Treadmills, free weights, tricep bars – gym equipment, are you worried of trying them out? Then, no worries! Push yourself in a different direction and reach your #fitnessgoals with confidence thanks to these activities that won’t require you to go to a gym.
10. Go Hiking
It’ll give you more reasons to go on #vacations, hiking up hills and mountains in the Philippines. You won’t only be able to see the beauty of the country from the view on top of a hill or mountain but also improve your blood pressure and strengthen the muscles in your hips and legs in the process.
9. Do Sports
If you’re more on the competitive side and you’re also looking for a workout, then sports may be the activity that you can try out. There are loads of you to choose from: basketball, volleyball, football or soccer, tennis, badminton, table tennis, or even swimming, to name a few. You’ll not only get a workout but who knows, perhaps even a medal or trophy in the future.

8. Ride a Bike
Why stay stuck on a stationary bike in the gym when you can ride a bike and actually go places? Biking has so many benefits. It can improve your joint mobility, improve your posture and coordination as well as, which is the most beneficial to all commuters out there, avoid traffic.
7. Go Walking, Jogging or Running
What a better way to escape your problems than walking, jogging, or running away from them. Kidding aside, there are many benefits from doing any of these three like gaining muscular strength, building strong bones, and improving your cardiovascular fitness.
Tip: To make it more fun, try putting on some music, running with your friend/family member/partner or even try joining your dog during its morning walk.
6. Learn Martial Arts
“‘Wag defensive!” they say. Your response? Take Martial Arts classes and learn self-defense. You’ll not only be defensive in a more positive way but also improve your focus and stillness as well as improve on your athleticism. A few of the Martial Arts you can dabble in are taekwondo, Muay Thai, jiu-jitsu, karate, and judo.

5. Release your Inner Child
Unsurprisingly, kids have so much more energy than teenagers or adults. Their games involve just as much cardio but all the more fun because of the scenarios that the child imagines. So spend some #bondingtime with your kids, cousins, nephews or nieces and pretend that you’re running away from a monster or jumping from one rock to the other to avoid lava, you might just enjoy yourself and your body will also thank you for it.
4. Take up some Yoga or Pilates classes
If you want a more chill activity, then perhaps yoga or pilates is for you. You may not gain powers just like Doctor Strange but at the very least you’ll benefit from taking some classes. You can have improved flexibility, have a balance between relaxation and movement, and regulate your blood sugar.
3. Dance, Dance, Dance
Cue the music and step to the beat! Hip-hop, jazz, ballet, Zumba, or even pole dancing, there are so many options that you can choose from. It’ll not only improve your social life if you choose to take up classes but it’ll also improve your coordination and help you lose some calories.

1. Do Chores
Ah yes, the dreaded word – chores. Believe it or not, it can burn more calories than you think. You’ll be forced to do cardiovascular exercises whenever you go up and down the stairs or sweep the floor. Your flexibility will be tested whenever you try to wipe the top shelf or try to clean the very end of the bottom of the bed.
